The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) and Soudah Development have successfully reintroduced 26 endangered animals into their natural habitat in the Soudah region. This initiative is part of a larger effort to enhance biodiversity and promote tourism, focusing on the restoration of ecosystems across Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Mohammad Qurban, CEO of the NCW, highlighted that this release follows extensive biodiversity studies conducted in national parks to evaluate the potential impacts of such reintroduction efforts. The center is utilizing advanced technology to monitor wildlife in protected areas, allowing them to track animal populations and gain insights into the challenges these species face in their habitats.
This program not only aims to revitalize local ecosystems but also seeks to attract eco-tourism, contributing to the region's economic growth while fostering a deeper appreciation for wildlife conservation.
